Running on the beach

I heard today that the rescue organization where we got Miss Daisy has just gone and picked up 250 dogs from a puppy mill that was busted in Jacksonville. I heard too that those dogs are right now pretty low and scared. If I wasn't in an RV I would be over there right now and getting another one.

So I was thinking today about Daisy when we got her. Never been out of a cage, all flat and closed into herself.

Well today here she was at the beach. May those other dogs get a chance.

Here's to second chances everywhere https://youtu.be/oWwLaRANW9s

What an uplifting little video! I love seeing sweeties like that find their forever home. :)

It is heartbreaking that so many dogs are treated so poorly.

Wonderful. If I wasn't 12 hours away, I'd be in Jax today. Though I already have two...

What a great looking beach! My husband occasionally suggests a second little dog "to be company" for the current one......so far I am resisting for travel related reasons, but it is very tempting when I hear of the need for good homes.....

Nevertheless she persisted. Daisy is a blessing and my heroine. You too, of course. :-)

Barbara Emodi! I had no idea that it was you writing this blog. Years ago you helped me a great deal with a sewing problem. It was when Pattern Review was new and you were, I think, a guest on the "talk to a pro" segment they conducted every once in awhile. You stayed online chatting with me for quite awhile after the segment ended. Thanks for your encouragement back then and for your wonderful blog.
