One loud dress

Self-portraits in the sewing room ...

Yes, it is pretty loud but I actually like it. Not sure if my consultants will deem it event worthy, we will see. At any rate this one is going to get wear, such a great, great pattern.

A lesson though - I don't have enough fabric in my collection (the family won't believe that)  I have depth but not enough breadth. And I won't be making it down to the garment district until later in the fall - seems fair to let the kid actually move there and settle into his job until I descend. One of the things about teaching is that you just can't take time off when you feel like it either. But I am never again going to be caught without The Right Thing in on the shelves.

Now off to get ready for a work week.

I really like it! I don't think it is loud at all.

Not loud - vibrant and energetic. I think you look smashing!

Jeepers! Did you just lose twenty pounds? Really, the verticals on this dress are very flattering and I think you scored with this one. Love the bold print and colors.

LIKE! Like! Like! Like! Where's the "like" button so I can pound on it a few times! This makes you look like a tall drink of water. It is SO flattering on you!

Now, you know, on me, it would hang from the boobs and I'd look like a walking tent.

I ADORE this dress on you! Not too loud. Not too anything except smashing and chic!

This is a very flattering dress on you... I don't think the print is too loud, but then, there are very few prints that I think are too loud....

Sold! I must buy this pattern. And the fabric is yummy! Life is too short to wear blah colors!

I think it looks marvelous. I like colors too many people get stuck in the neutrals for everything.
I wore a bright peach print for my daughter's wedding. There was even some sunshine and the temperature reached 68 (on June 21)
Have a good time at your daughter's wedding. Your dress is meant for celebrating.

Looks very good, those long vertical parts to the print are very elongating. Looks dramatic and vibrant not loud!

Wow. You look amazing in that! Elegant and about nine feet tall. I've seen several versions of this one around the blogosphere but there's something special about this one. I think Bunny's right, the verticals make the difference.

Yes it's loud, but I like it, and nobody else has this dress or material. It is fashionable. That dress makes one look.

*LOL* This is my fabric philosophy! If you like the dress, that is the most important thing...and I would call it vibrant - not loud!
