The Jensen shirt on one of my favourite models

The son who has recently moved to Texas was back this weekend for a wedding. That gave me a chance to hand over the linen Jensen shirt to him and to snap a picture when we went out for breakfast.

He's tall and lean like we all are so the only alteration I made to the XL version was to add two inches in body length. I also made sure to pre-wash and pre-shrink the linen because I know that chances of this shirt being ironed, unless I am there to visit, are not incredibly high. Just see how wrinkled it got from sitting for an hour in a restaurant. Got to roll with it.

The linen was from Blackbird Fabrics which once again delivered top quality. As I think I did too when I gave birth to this guy.

I'll be making him more of these for sure.

The shirt came out good, wrinkly fabric and all. It seems like that color might not show many wrinkles? And you son is a handsome one as well. I saw a news blurb on my phone about linen being the summer fabric of choice. The article was about a designer in California that's been doing lots of garments in linen due to all the heat this summer.

The shirt really works and your son really rocks it! Clever Mama on both counts!
The frustrations of linen are also their greatest asset as, I am told by a fashion guru, it is at it's best when slightly wrinkled as it shows off the textures. OK, I'll buy that! It is also lovely to wear and if the wrinkles really are a good thing, I'll stop worrying about them!
