- Bumper load of blossoms on the crab apple tree this year
- Hope that means a bumper crop of apples for crab apple jelly
- I have names on my waiting list for it
- I am stopping at Cracker Barrel for chicken and dumplings en route or I will cry
- When you interface a collar and band interface them both with something lighter
- That way all pieces that are going to attach to each other will be the same size
- And behave the same way
- No force fits
- My sister and niece are coming here for two weeks and we are going to sew their wedding dresses
- My husband will be away so we will take over the whole house
- I will get my sister to cook
- Nice Greek food conducive to creativity
- Miss Daisy is full of beans
- "That's a feisty little one" says the man on a walk
- Can that dog run
- And smile
- I want to take a picture but all I get is small black streak blurred on a bunch of grass
- Her message is don't be giving up
- There might actually be an act two
- Or somewhere to go home to after all
- Rhubarb jam is almost as good as crab apple jelly
- Got it growing in the front yard
- Took out the bushes underneath the front window and put in two raised vegetables gardens
- That is where the sun is
- Like why not?
- So far the mailman is impressed
- Going to come by after work and take measurements so he can do it at home
- Who says we don't need door-to-door delivery
- Next month we are moving to community boxes
- Can't have a conversation with that
- The shirt for my son will be done this week and then doing one for my husband
- Considering pattern idea #913 for myself for the wedding
- Then I have to think of shoes
- What do you think of those ladies who were barred from Cannes because they were wearing flats?
- Heels that kill your feet are part of the dress code
- I mean honestly
- Put those officials in 4" stilettos for the board meeting
- Best cure for insomnia is a dull book
- If you need some titles I have a few without punctuation
- Is a sleeve board really useful?

Love my sleeveboard!
Yes on the sleeve board. Your car trip reminds me of a time when a couple I know were planning a trip across the U.S. with a MIL and three little kids. When they asked if I'd like to come along, I replied that I'd much rather fly with the three kids and play tourist with them for a week, than be part of that camper marathon.
They quickly took me up on it. I got much the better end of the deal since the kids and I had a blast with only one meltdown (by the 2-yr-old, not me) during the week--while meanwhile the three adults were left to their own cooped-up devices.
I love your flypaper thoughts. I think the adult males may be able to handle the 2 days to DC journey but I have trouble imagining the under 5s being at all happy with that. Those little legs need to run, so hours of sitting in a car seat are painful. I hope you give yourselves some extra time in the schedule so you can take an extra day if needed.
I love my sleeve board. It makes it so much easier to press the cuffs and collar on a shirt. I also use it for the shoulders in a shift dress and other small areas that need ironing.
Yes a sleeve board is really usefully occasionally. Or you can just wrap a cardboard tube with a thick towel. Enjoy
I once worked at a place where the men were required to wear suits and the women skirts and high heels, no flats or low heels. From the front lobby there was a staircase you had to take to get anywhere else in the building and it was glass all around. It was the time of the mini skirt. The word was you got hired when you walked up that staircase, the resume meant nothing, very Mad Men. Glad those days are gone!

re: community mail boxes, akkk, we are going soon too. Our lovely MM stops and chats and even helps heft things in our major landscape reno. With all that salary savings, I guess we can look forward to a reduced cost in postage!!!
If the ones who cry are in car seats, move the adults. Car seat installation these days is not for sissies or anyone who lacks a mechanical enginering degree. Not to mention that the size of today's car seats requires those sitting next to them to have no hips...it won't be the car seat riders who require break.
I have an old sleeve board I inherited. I use it when I don't want to pull out the big ironing board. I also have a sleeve roll. Interestingly, I use it more for sleves, and inseams, and when I don't want a pressing indentation from the seam allowance.
