About me

My photo
I am a mother, a grandmother, and a teacher. But whatever happens in my life, I keep sewing. I have worked as a political communicator and now as a teacher in my formal life. I have also written extensively on sewing. I have been a frequent contributor and contributing editor of Threads magazine and the Australian magazine Dressmaking with Stitches. My book Sew.. the garment-making book of knowledge was published in May 2018 and is available for pre-order from Amazon

For every mother out there

If you haven't already seen this, it needs a share. My husband got teary over this, this morning. I figure this woman did a great job - kids with a sense of humour are the best of successes:

That was incredible and funny and thoughtful. How could a mother not love that. I would love to have been there during the photo shoots....especially watching 3 grown men get in a bathtub together. Priceless indeed!

Ha! If only I had seen this a year or two ago. I used to do an annual calendar for mum but sadly she passed away last year. I am not sure if she would have appreciated it but we siblings would have had fun!

This is wonderful. Thanks so much. I only wish my Mom were still with us so we could do the same. What a great family effort!
