I am a mother, a grandmother, and a teacher. But whatever happens in my life, I keep sewing. I have worked as a political communicator and now as a teacher in my formal life. I have also written extensively on sewing. I have been a frequent contributor and contributing editor of Threads magazine and the Australian magazine Dressmaking with Stitches. My book Sew.. the garment-making book of knowledge was published in May 2018 and is available for pre-order from Amazon

And now for a bit of Canadian culture

This tells you all you need to know about where I am from.

Notice the sweaters and the mild behavior.

I am typical in the sweater part.

Being Canadian all I can say is "How true!!"

I live in a more moderate climate than you. Virginia mountains. Well, you'd think more moderate. It was 23 this morning and we are expecting yet another bout of snow tomorrow. So your post "resonated" with me, as they say.

We've been giggling about that clip all week.

I live in North Carolina and the weather is threatening to be a snowy mix tonight. I'm putting my fingers in my ears and refusing to hear it! Maybe I'll text my friend who lives in sunny California and forget that it's cold outside my door.

You know, if you rent a place in Florida with a little extra space we could all join you for a warm sewing extravaganza.
Just say'in.....

I saw that a few days ago - even in Montreal it was too true LOL

Mwah hah hah hah hah! It's a wintry mix storm on a Tuesday, for the fourth Tuesday in a row, in central NC. It is snowing now. Sigh. I fear for my daffodils and forsythia -- they're already a month late opening up.

What a delightful clip. I don't love the cold but I do dress for it....what makes me happy is to see the sunlight return each spring.
