Update from the you can't turn you back for a minute department

I was out of the house for an hour this morning and while I was gone my husband, who is also working from home today, decided to make some of his excellent heating pad Greek yoghurt.

The only issue he has had is a good straining system, but guess what?

Problem solved.

He went down to my sewing machine and made up his own yoghurt straining bags - they work perfectly.

They should - they are constructed out of good silk organza.

I think he should have matched the thread colour.

From the land of they just don't get it.

Good to know that silk organza is as useful in the kitchen as it is in the sewing room! :-)

Just yesterday I was trying to find something to strain my first ever batch of homemade Greek yogurt. Thank your hubby for the awesome idea!!!

Hey, at least they'll be durable. My cotton cheesecloth ripped last week as I was wringing the moisture out of cooked shredded cabbage going into some chinese dumpling mix.

Barbara, your post made me laugh out loud. I read it to my daughter, who said, "Oh God - men!" We both could see my husband doing the same thing.

I know an excellent place to dispose of a body, lol.

Oh no! And you hate to crush the whole "solve it yourself, can-do attitude" but OUCH that would sting a little.

that certainly gave me a morning laugh-out-loud... I hope that he will buy you some more silk organza now!

I let out a little gasp when I read that! Then I laughed a little. At least you know he has good taste? :)

Too funny!
Sounds like he owes you some fabric of your choosing;-)

LOL...! At least he was resourceful. Time to shop!

Imagine what he could do with some Guipure lace!! I totally, laughingly agree with your assessment of the new Vogue patterns! I mean--who is wearing this stuff?

Laughed out loud at this. Still laughing actually, goosed on by gwensews' reference to guipure lace. I guess the price of Greek yogurt just went up! Elle

Oh no, good reason to buy more and plenty of it too.

Yes. Keep buying expensive fabric to keep up with your husband's tastes:) LOL

oh no!!

He who has a yogurt strainer made of silk organza, better not say a word about all your future fabric purchases, how much ever expensive they might be!
