I am a mother, a grandmother, and a teacher. But whatever happens in my life, I keep sewing. I have worked as a political communicator and now as a teacher in my formal life. I have also written extensively on sewing. I have been a frequent contributor and contributing editor of Threads magazine and the Australian magazine Dressmaking with Stitches. My book Sew.. the garment-making book of knowledge was published in May 2018 and is available for pre-order from Amazon
When I was last in San Francisco C&T, the publishers of my book, filmed this little interview. I am actually not going to watch it, never do always think I sound like a flake, but in case you do here it is. Now back to my Christmas production!

You can watch it, it’s a very nice interview. 🙂.
The Sew and Sew group sounds wonderful. I know very few people who are as obsessed with sewing as I am. I toy with the idea of creating a group but right now I think it would just cut too much into my sewing time, which is only now (semi-retirement) beginning to feel like it might be approaching “enough “. Maybe one day... In the meantime, I enjoy reading blogs such as yours. Thank you.
Oh yes, I think you are right about things we’ve sewn mattering more than a career. I have very clear memories of some of the things I’ve sewn, even those made 50 years ago. So much satisfaction and joy over the years...
Loved your video and had to laugh at the getting up in the night to fix a mistake. Because just last night in bed before falling asleep I was thinking about my current project. And realized I had cut something wrong. Sigh.
Love the video! You don't sound like a flake to me at all, I simply see someone who is passionate about something that has brought great joy to their life.
