- Particularly at that moment when you realize you are actually not going to make all the men shirts and all the women sweaters
- And you start wondering about serged cosmetic bags

- Miss Heidi says what she wants for Christmas is for me to move into the other bunk in her room
- Not a bad idea
- There's good toys in that bunk
- Her sister wants replacements for everything I have given her before that she has broken or lost
- Off to New York with the husband this week
- He wants to see shows and keep me out of the garment district
- My 89 year old mother went to a Halloween party dressed as an Olympic swimmer
- Best thing you can do for adult children is to show them how to age
- Dumbest thing anyone said to me was that dogs stop developing when they are young
- Broken hearts by four months, broken forever
- Best thing dogs do for you is showing you spunky comes back
- Took Daisy two years to be brave enough to bark
- Now she bunts the computer off my lap if I am not paying attention to her

What wonderful words! I will keep the advice about adult children in mind as mine age. You are very lucky to be so adored by your grand babies but also to live close enough to them to be adored. I have learned the hard way that kids need contact with grandparents to build a proper relationship. Daisy is a lucky little doggie for sure! Give her a pat and a belly scratch from a reader in SK :)
Monsieur le Tromp scares the pants off me too! No wonder you threw your knee out. Hard to remember your body can't take the pace that your mind is setting. I hope your mom was not too drafty in her costume of choice. I think it is a great choice!
Re Miss Heidi, just bring some posessions to live in her bottom bunk when you are not around. That will comfort her. Miss Scarlett needs to itemize what she wants replaced, and maybe pare it down a little.
I am glad that Daisy is improving so much. I remember my sister's rescuedog Shaggy. Lovely dog. When my sister would go out, she would take Pat's shoes out of her closet to the kitchen and place them around herself to wall out anything dangerous until Pat got home. Used to break my heart.
I think it is going to be a long four years.
Have fun in NY, as much as possible without fabric shopping.......
Love to Miss Daisy; my parents had a little Westie who had been lost on an army base for weeks, and who had at some point(we theorized) been trained not to bark, she was SO ALARMED when the other household dogs barked - when she finally DID bark she was rewarded so copiously that she became the lead barker of the whole crew. Another inspiration!
Looking forward to the Christmas sewing report, might get me out of my current funk.

USA election, "no Christmas ideas there", hahahahaha!
Ok, next topic. My son's rescue dog has healed both physically and emotionally beyond what was hoped for, though something like PTSD remains, as certain movements can trigger reactions. I'm happy about Daisy. If pets are right for you, it seems a rescue animal is worth considering.
