Shots from the road trip

Here are some iPad shots as we work our way down from Nova Scotia. I knit a Noro Silk Garden wave scarf, part of a sock and served up mason jar salads ( google these if you have never made them) which are perfect for car food if you can't face the Popeye chicken and chips at the Vince Lambardi rest stop. I also made jelly jar sized yoghurt, wheat germ fruit and maple syrup breakfasts.

This jar eating in the car seats is no reflection of my domesticity but evidence I am on Pinterest too much..

Tomorrow we will be in Florida after a stop in an Econlodge breakfast room in South Carolina in the afternoon where they are letting me sit and teach my last class, as arranged by my sweet talking husband.

They even have leaves on the trees down here.

Glad that your trip is going well. I am heading off to Florida in the morning but I am flying from Calgary and stopping in Winnipeg to leave a Norfolk puppy with a lady. I only have one week but at least we will be away from this very tiring winter weather for a while.
Take care,
Terry

Nice salads! I have a friend who has done the mason jar food thing too (and also because of pinterest:)

It is impossible to be on Pinterest too much...not. I have even spent time rearranging boards, and cleaning up pins. It is the equivalent of clearing up file folders of lesson plans and activities. :-) You are positively glowing in your photo!

I'm off to look at salad in a jar! Sort of the flip side f the cake in a jar trend.

OK, we're all interested in the jar/food concept. I must fly off to Pinterest and investigate. Any information you care to share is appreciated. Have a great trip!

I have just whiled away half an hour, reading back on your blog, and finding out what is entailed in a 'mason jar salad' (we call them something different in the uk). And all this because I am going through my sewing patterns and wanted to check out what other people thought of Simplicity 3833! So, not only am I definitely going to make it for the summer (which I am reliably informed falls on a Wednesday morning in July this year) but I am going to take a 'Kilner Jar Salad' to work, and be the envy of my colleagues!
Brilliant blog, very funny. Although, I really must remember that across the water, when you refer to'pants' you mean trousers. And NOT knickers.

A road trip from a wintry climate to a summery climate, it just seems amazing. Also teaching during your journey!! And Pinterest! So many nice little things in this modern life!

Welcome to Florida! You probably are here now. I hope that you keep that happy smile during your visit. That's a nice scarf and yummy looking salad!
