Evidence of eccentricity, lots of that going around here:
In a Renfrew top pivoted out to an A line and lengthened into a tunic. Barb pants in stretch yellow denim and the hat I promised the kids I would never wear in public. Note the tuna cans to keep the fabric from blowing away in the wind.
I think it's a lovely ensemble. And what do they think is wrong with the hat? I think it's great! Or is it a generational thing (your clothes are freaky and mine are cool?).
Too, too funny about the tuna cans! I have been using the same six tuna cans as pattern weights for the last two decades (or more?). I used to joke that it was a two-fer: pattern weights PLUS food for when the apocalypse arrives...but given how old the cans are now (and one has the dreaded bulging top), I'd open them only after finishing all the cat food in the house first.
And I love your hat! (It must say something about my fashion habits that DS has given up "counseling" me on my choices.)
Hope the photo of you sewing outside is from today - the first pleasant, spring-like day for awhile! Fabric weights - you go girl! I've been known to use eating utensils as pattern weights.
Love this. I was actually thinking of doing that very thing with my Renfrew. I love the fit but wondered what might be lost by extending it to tunic length. Have you blogged this and I missed it? =(
You are fabulous, dahlink.
