Oh hell


It may be a few days before I post again.

 I had to put Mr. Rascal down today. 

 He has been wonderful lately, full on terrier but this morning he wouldn't touch his food and I knew he was in kidney failure. We spent the afternoon in his chair with him on my lap and he was peaceful. Then we went into the vet and I held him and he was gone.

 My little boy.

    Loosing a furry family member is one of the hardest things to go through. I'm so sorry for your loss.

    Oh, Barbara, I am so sorry about Mr. Rascal. It is so sad when a pet reaches the end. Two years ago my darling dog was nearing the end--I knew it was coming, but didn't know when. When he was ready to go, he died at home and it was heart breaking.

    So sorry. This is always so painful and hard. Our animal companions expect us to protect them from pain and suffering; it's a blessing when we are able to do so. But it is still so hard.

    These decsions tear us apart. I've always been amazed in wonderment that animals display personality traits and that they are so different to one another. We had to put our pet down too and it hurts, we have another collie, completely different in temprament but just as loved.

    Grief is the price we pay for loving Barbara, twas ever thus.

    So sorry to read of your loss. It is so hard to lose them. I have one that is old and on borrowed time right now and facing up to this will be so difficult I know. I hope I can be there for her like you were for your friend. May the time come soon when you can think of him with smiles instead of tears. You did every thing right for him.
